STONE COLLECTION

In this collection, the designer was heavily influenced by petrology - the nature of stones, their method of processing and finishing. The designer focused on the smooth stone, ranging from the naturally occurring ones on the riverbank to the ones in trinket stores, hewed by industrial machines.

The collection has four tables varying in sizes, ‘Tumbled’ being the largest and ‘Gem’ being the smallest. Across all four tables there is a similarity; the tables are stabilised with four legs, each tapered and connected to a horizontal piece, which is then connected to the wooden spine that holds it all together.
